# What's Coming

Knovel is in active development. This page reflects our current priorities and planned features. It will be updated as things ship and priorities evolve.

## Current Status

Knovel is in **MVP / Beta**. Core publishing, reading, and IP registration features are live on the Aeneid testnet. We're actively onboarding authors and readers and using early feedback to shape what we build next.

## What's Coming

### Near-Term

**Mainnet Migration** Moving from Story Protocol's Aeneid testnet to mainnet. This makes IP registrations permanent and live, and introduces small gas fees for on-chain actions. We'll communicate timing and pricing before this happens.

**Mobile App** Native iOS and Android apps. The web experience is mobile-optimized but a dedicated app is planned.

**Chapter Scheduling** Set a date and time for a chapter to publish automatically. Lets authors maintain a consistent release schedule without manually publishing each chapter.

**Public Reading Lists** Share your reading list publicly and discover books through other readers' lists.

### Medium-Term

**Offline Reading** Download chapters or books for reading without an internet connection.

**EPUB / PDF Export** Export your books in standard formats, subject to author permissions.

**Advanced Author Analytics** Per-chapter completion rates, read-through from chapter to chapter, engagement over time, follower growth.

**AI Features** Writing assistance, genre classification, and content moderation tools. These will be opt-in and clearly labeled.

**Enhanced Search** Full-text search across chapter content, not just titles and metadata.

**Creator Ecosystem** Tools for readers and derivative creators to build audiences and monetize their work on Knovel — not just original authors.

**Multi-Language Support** Platform UI localization and language filtering to better support Knovel's international author and reader community.

**Mainnet Royalty Infrastructure** Live royalty distribution on mainnet for commercial derivative works, with real-time earnings tracking.
